ITINERARY

Day 1

An early start from London and we head north through a rough and dramatic landscape of renowned Welsh valleys, 4 separate mountain ranges, and straight into the heart of Wales. Enjoy a guided triple-waterfall hike through the Brecon Beacons National Park and get some sleep in preparation for why we're here in the first place. It may be one of the smallest towns in Britain, but is one of the friendliest around. May you get the sleep of a thousand sheep tonight — you'll need it to be in your finest form tomorrow!

Trekking Distance: 8–10 Miles

Important Times:
London Pick–Up (Ealing Station) – 8:00am
Newport Pick–Up (Trainstation) – 10:30am
Accommodation Drop–Off – 5:30pm

Day 2

The nerves will surely kick in as you prepare to represent your country in the wackiest sport on the planet: the World Bog Snorkeling Championship (insert fan fare here). Conceived in a pub over a pint of Welsh ale, this infamous sport is attracting competitors from far and wide. Here's how it works: equipped with snorkel and flippers, athletes/competitors (depending on how you would like to define yourself) must complete 2 underwater lengths of a 60 yard bog, in the shortest time possible. No 'recognized' swimming strokes are allowed, and the head must only be lifted to see where you're going. Fancy dress is optional, but adds to the spirit and fun of the day. The record currently stands at 1 minute 35 seconds. Clear as mud? A quick hose down with the locals, (water or beer? your choice), and we stay for the night to make sure we experience all of the town's celebrations!

Important Times:
Bog Snorkeling Word Championship Registration: 8:00am
Bog Snorkeling Word Championship Start: 9:00am
(Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch and Snack)

Day 3

With a good sleep and breakfast after yesterday's exertions we follow the track to the wild West of Wales, straight into the heart of Britain's only coastal National Park. Get your coasteering dancing pants on for one of the newest, wildest and fastest growing adventure sports in the world. There is no place better to dive in feet first than the birth place and home of the sport. Swim, climb, dive and scramble your way around the cliffs and caves of the rugged coast, dancing cheek to cheek with the ocean from a seal's eye view. Rejuvenated from head to toe, it's time for The Legendary Welsh Adventure Co. Pub Crawl, featuring a tavern made of zinc, an old fisherman's haunt frequented by smugglers, and the smallest pub in Wales where you're assured a warm welcome from the Barmaid and owner of over 35 years. Spend the night in a Welsh town known as one of the UK's finest holiday resorts, boasting a surrounding medieval stone wall, three Blue Flag Beaches, and candy-coloured coastal homes.

Important Times:
Accommodation Pick–Up – 8:00am
Tenby Drop–Off – 5:30pm
(Meals Provided: Breakfast, Lunch and Snack)

Day 4

Care for some salt with those eggs? Rise and shine with breakfast before our short drive to the Pembrokeshire coast for our final morning hike. For most of the day, we trek through parallel the Atlantic coast to reach a small chapel grasping the mountain it has been built into, lily ponds of King Arthur's Excalibur, and the most beautiful beach in Britain. Today we walk further than any of the others, but with a gourmet lunch and snack to fuel our bodies, it is well worth the effort. For the afternoon, we head east for some highly deserved traditional fish and chips. Feeling daring? Try a Welsh delicacy: Laver Bread, Cockles, or Pembrokeshire Crabcakes. With full bellies and happy hearts we grudgingly return to our former lives, with a head full of real adventure and real memories as we bid a fond farewell to Wales.
